[Daneca comes to easily enough and at first, it doesn't set right in that she's been asleep for all this time. It's not until she picks up the communicator that she notices the disparity in time and covers her mouth in silent shock. Daneca spends time flipping through some of the network posts as she is wont to always do her research/homework.]

[Timidly, she turns the feed on.]

So, um, I obviously missed a few things. I was in one of those comas and from the looks of it for about a month. Sorry if I worried anyone. I think I'm okay though. I don't feel groggy or anything like that, which is weird. I'm glad things were relatively quiet for around here. No zombies or anything like that.

[She smiles faintly.]

Anyway, I guess we also have some new people while I was out. My name's Daneca. Sorry I wasn't able to say hi when you first arrived.

[The underlying question being, of course, did you do anything stupid while she was out cold.]

I saw the network. Are you... Do you need anything?

[Scott keeps his eyes closed when they part, satisfied with the feel of her forehead against his, her arms around his shoulders. He doesn't want the moment to pass.

It has to, obviously, but he makes it last, and when he does open his eyes, he's still smiling a little.]

[Daneca meets his eyes and nods a little.]

Probably. [A pause.] But I'm glad you did it anyway.

[A grin flashes across his face, honest and untouched, at least for the moment, by grief. He doesn't have to be nervous around her. She likes him too.]

I'd totally ask you on a date, but the Barge is kind of short a movie theater or something.

Soooo... [Daneca glances around at their surroundings.] This isn't a date?

[He smiles, and tries not to think of the day he talked Allison into playing hooky for her birthday. Instead, he laces his fingers together behind her back, settled on her waist.]

Should I run and bring back a picnic basket?

[Daneca tilts his her head as though giving this some serious thought before grinning wide.]

I think we're good.

[He matches her grin.] Good.

[And screw it, he's kissing her again, because if his timing is terrible, he can at least try to make up for it.]
