[The first thing Daneca Wasserman does is the absolute last thing she should do.]
[She panics.]
[Something is wrong and she knows it. This room isn't hers. Not the ones she recognizes and remembers anyway. And yet this is her cabin. She checked six - no seven - times.]
[So Daneca panics and then immediately vanishes out of sight.]
No, no, stupid, [she mutters, berating herself as she hurries down the hall, footsteps reverberating off the walls. Normally Daneca would just hide out in her room until she could calm down, but her room isn't there.]
[She throws herself down in a chair in the common room, hugging her knees and trying to take as little space as possible. Maybe if she just keeps repeating to herself over and over again quietly that it's okay she'll believe it eventually.]
[Daneca does gradually come back into view, head buried in her knees, once she manages to calm herself down enough with some deep breathing.]
voice.
[Once she's visible again, Daneca tries her room again. It's still the same - not right, that it is - but she can do this. She just needs to find out what's going on with other people.]
How many people have found their rooms aren't what they remember it to be?
((ooc: daneca is now from haven! her trouble is becoming invisible when she's stressed/anxious. you can still hear her though and see what she's interacting with, but otherwise she's completely invisible.))

[She frowns a little.]
There's another guy on-board with a room like that. He's new.

When he first sees the common room from the other end of the hall, it's empty: by the time he walks in, it's decidedly not, and he startles just a little.]
Oh - I didn't - I thought no one was--
[One day, he will not be terrible at talking to girls, but that probably isn't today. He makes himself stop, ducking his head.]
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to intrude.

[She swallows hard and forces her voice to stay even.]
It's the common room, it's okay.

May I assume you as well, or are you merely a curious poll taker?

[Not as bad as it could be though, all things considered. At least hers seems to be in the right century.]

Now he pauses, glancing around openly with his eyebrows pulling together in confusion, because he can't see anything; but he can hear someone's there, and smell unfamiliar shampoo, and he stops and goes very still to listen for breathing or he can even sometimes hear a pulse. Frowning, concerned, he straightens up slightly and keeps casting around blindly.]
Hello? Is someone there?

[Daneca squeezes her eyes shut tight like somehow that will make him also disappear. She'd settle for him going away though. The last thing she wants to do is have a full-blown conversation with someone while she's like this. It's more embarrassing somehow than when they catch her either going or returning from being invisible.]
[Daneca opens her eyes and looks at Ben, but she says nothing. If she could just temporarily switch her heartbeat off, that would be great. At the very least, put the mute button on it because it's pounding in her ears right now and why is this her life? Daneca buries her face in her knees.]

Your room must be from a modern time period then. Or at least more modern than what you're used to.
I've heard people getting rooms that were kinda further back right now, but not so much the reverse.
